As the New Year begins, I wanted to give an update on the roadmap for development at [ LIGHTMACHINE ] .
Here we go:
- I will post un-filtered steps of the development process, we keep it real here at LIGHTMACHINE. That means that posts will be formatted correctly, but they will not have the disconnected voice that the majority of dev blogs have. Trust me, I have no idea what I’m doing. Hopefully, these notes can help someone during the development of their projects.
- The blog will be updated frequently with all aspects of development. With everything from concepts, sketches (more on that in a bit), renders, game-specific entries, etc.
- The point of the site (besides showing off and cataloging LIGHTMACHINE projects) is to share my experiences and process. Creating Digital Art is not magic, and there is no one way to do something. This is something I wish I knew at the beginning of my career.
Now, back to the sketches.
For the foreseeable future, this will be my main toolset.
I will also list what I am currently watching, listening to, reading and playing. Since inspiration comes from everything we consume every day.
CURRENT GAMES
I am currently playing Front Mission on the Super Nintendo, this is a title I have never played before. This has already been fruitful, as, through a conversation with a close friend, this is making me want to do something within the Giant-Mech space.
Breath of the Wild is also another game I am currently playing. This is a LOOOOOOOOOONG one, I am trying to do everything in the game (I can currently go into Ganon’s Castle, and I have already acquired the Master Sword and Shield).
But, I want to complete all of the shrines, I am currently at 57.
